- Project descriptionThe project consists in working with ejidos to promote the recovery of the Yucatan Peninsula’s culturally and ecologically important rainforest. The main objective of the proposed project is to promote the recovery process and protect the Yucatan Peninsula´s culturally and ecologically significant Mayan Jungle. Carbon finance is seen as a way of generating additional income for community members (ejidatarios) who live on forest land, in order to carry out activities of restoration and protection.
