    The project comprises a total of 1,544 ha of land previously under extensive grazing by beef cattle, on which afforestation for obtaining high-value, long-lived timber products and for sequestering large amounts of carbon dioxide from the atmosphere will be established. Although ITAA does not have the FSC label, management in all properties follow Forest Stewardship Council certification standard practices. Project proponent will apply for FSC certification. Cattle grazing will continue through silvopastural production of timber and cattle.
