- Project descriptionDedicated carbon and GHG management activities with landowners and managers with the watershed through: agroforestry, terracing of steep farmlands, vegetation establishment on buffer zones along riverbanks, storing carbon in the soils through permanent grass strips in farmlands, mitigation of erosion from dirt roads, rain water harvesting to support tree establishment, training and capacity development for tree nursery management and diversified plant production, manure management through cow-dung powered biogas and composting, reducing enteric methane through improved livestock nutrition strategy by promotion of grass based system, use of leguminous shrub and silage making for low carbon foot print. Some additional efforts in restoration and reforestation of degraded areas around public forest edges.
