  • Project description
    The purpose of the project is to develop livelihoods through participatory forest management. Objectives: - to protect the forests in the areas covered by PFES (providing cash payment to generate alternative income for villagers) - to promote community forest management - to rehabilitate degraded watershed through plantation, restoration and forest protection - plantations with SFM - to strenghen management and controls in special use forests (special use = as defined by the law. It's an area with strict regulation, where people cannot enter without approval - although people enter anyway, causing fires).
