    The main objectives are: 1. To accomplish the reduction of CO2 gas by establishing carbon sinks by mangrove afforestation, which contributes towards reversal of global warming. 2. To rehabilitate coastal ecosystems with mangrove afforestation thereby, establishing new fish breeding areas. 3. To provide employment opportunities in mangrove cultivation and management as a result of which increased income will be realized by the local communities. 4. Afforested mangrove trees will be utilized as dykes to prevent land erosion and disasters caused by high tides and tsunamis.
