    The project has partnered directly with local communities to establish Community Forest groups that implement project activities to reduce deforestation, improve livelihoods and protect biodiversity. Agreements provides exclusive management rights and responsibilities to the Community. The project plans to implement Forestry Management Committees (CFMCs) over the project area for a fifteen-year renewable period. Activities include: Reinforcing land-tenure status, Land-use plans, Forest protection, Assisted natural regeneration (ANR), Fire prevention and NTFP Development Activities.
