    A grouped project which, in its first stage, includes 17 holdings belonging to - the Empresa de Acueducto y Alcantarillado de Pereira (Pereira Aqueduct and Sewerage Company) S.A.S. E.S.P. The project is located in the southern area of the department of Risaralda, in the Central Mountain Range (Cordillera), on the Otún River valley, in the municipalities of Pereira, Santa Rosa de Cabal, and Salento, and it has the main objective of conserving the native forests of the region by reducing the emissions of Greenhouse Gases (GHG) caused by deforestation while preserving and protecting local biodiversity through interagency conservation efforts and the implementation of four strategic lines, which are focused on control activities of the territory; environmental education strengthening and biodiversity research; conservation agreements and ecological restoration programs.
