  The projet aims to reduce deforestation and poverty in the project area. Its specific objectives are: - Strenghening local administration's capacities for better land and tenure management; - Strenghening human, technical, financial and organisational capacities of local populations, for a productive and sustainable management of the environment; - Improving social and economic conditions of local populations. As of 2010 the objectives were: the restoration of 90ha of forests, intensification of 80ha of subsistence crops, distribution of livestock (pork, goat, chicken), creation of monitoring spots… the aim is to raise the forest cover by 20% and the household revenues by 15%.
