  • Project description
    Phase 1 and 2 of the project were completed in 2011 and involved the project design and local capacity building to strengthen the local REDD+ strategy. Three ejidos in the Ocozocoautla de Espinosa; Veinte Casas, Nuevo San Juan Chamula and Tierra Nueva, are involved in the pilot project. Phase 3 of the project intends to improve the capacity of local communitites to generate REDD+ credits and participate in environmental markets.
