  The project is the tropical secondary forest with only a very tiny fraction of 1.2% artificial forest implemented on agricultural land of Xishuangbanna autonomous prefecture, which distributes in Jinghong City, Menghai County and Mengla County. The project has approximately 6,690.77 ha tropical secondary forest on agricultural land, whose ages ranging from sapling, middle age to mature forest, most of the broad-leaf trees are sapling or middle age. The main object of the project is to improve the forest coverage rate, protect local ecological environment, reduce carbon emissions and carbon sequestration by enhance the management level and converse logged to protected forest within the project area.
