- Project descriptionThe proposed project activity will be implemented in the branches of the Jinshajiang River watersheds, a biodiversity hotspot home to many endangered species like the giant panda. The project aims to: - Sequester carbon dioxide and mitigating climate change; - Enhance biodiversity conservation and climate change adaptation; - Improve soil and water conservation in the upper reaches of the Yangtze River; - Generate income for local communities. To achieve the objectives of the proposed project activity, it is planned to establish 500 hectare (ha) of forests by direct planting,
