- Project descriptionThe project aims to mobilize and facilitate resource poor farmers to raise tree plantations on degraded farm lands and farm bunds. Farmers will be encouraged encourage them to plant species like Teak, Mango, and Cashew. The project will establish woodlots/plantations through the provision of free seedlings/sapling from ongoing government antipoverty programmes. Ultimately, the project aims to establish commercial forests through the afforestation/reforestation of degraded areas, improve environmental and socio-economic conditions of resource poor communities, and generate revenues from the sale of carbon credits.
