  The project will generate ERs from Avoided Unplanned Deforestation (AUD), and Afforestation, Reforestation and Revegetation (ARR) activities. The project will also engage in a concerted reforestation program district-wide, with the goal of creating buffer zones around the current forest areas. It is anticipated that at least 300,000 trees of mixed species will be planted per year, consisting of both native natural forest species and a variety of agroforestry species (e.g. rubber, nutmeg, durian, mahogany) that will be used for income generation purposes.
