  • Project description
    The project aims to replenish the mangroves by planting a suitable mixture of mangrove species and restoration of original hydraulic systems, recreating an ecosystem and foster generator of economic activity for communities (fish, crabs, shrimp extensive, honey, etc..). The association Yagasu Aceh is present in the area since 2003. It has already started helping the villagers to replant 2,000 hectares for 3 years. LIVELIHOODS urged the association with an action plan to plant 5,000 hectares in three years and planted 500ha in 2011. The storage capacity is 2.1 million TeqCO2 for 20 years.
