    This first Nigerien A/R CDM project activity aims to restore deforested and highly degraded land in the Sudano-Sahelian zone of Niger by empowering rural communities to adopt sustainable agro-forestry practices by establishing plantations using native species Acacia senegalensis (Acacia Senegal). Along with Acacia plantations, benefits are expected from the sale of agroforestry products, NTPF… The project is a public-private partnership between Achats Services International (a private Niger company) and International Crop Research Institute for Semi-Arid Tropics (ICRISAT).
