\u00a0<\/span>Vania’s strong interest in the interlink of forests, payment of ecosystem services, and community has been nurtured through her exposure to nature-based solution topics during her studies and experiences working closely with communities. These experiences drove her to start a master’s thesis on REDD+ benefit-sharing mechanisms for local communities with co-supervision from CIFOR scientist, Dr. Stibniati Atmadja. She utilizes the ID-RECCO database to investigate the relationship between REDD+ projects’ design features and their benefits to forest communities by employing rigorous statistical analysis.<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

\u00a0<\/span>Vania aspires to contribute to understanding how global REDD+ projects can effectively support emission reductions and improve socio-economic aspects. In her leisure time, Vania loves hiking and climbing as well as savouring food and coffee.<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n
